UPDATE#4: 8th Jan 2007 - Discussion Panel We're pleased to add sound artist and composer, David Prior of Liminal to the Discussion Panel during the event. David's work has been performed, exhibited and broadcast widely and has won numerous prizes from institutions including Bourges International Electroacoustic Music Competition, Cornelius Cardew Prize, E.A.R (Hungarian Radio) and the George Butterworth prize. His sound work often focuses on the use of recorded media and multi-channel pieces which explore the use of space in musical composition. In addition to his work with liminal, his current projects include a number of writing and production collaborations with other artists. He also continues to work on video and gallery based and site specific installations and is currently a part time lecturer at Dartington College of Arts in Devon, UK. Featuring work from: Haroon Mirza, Margaret O'Brien, Jo Millett, Liminal, David Chapman and David Cottridge, Duncan Whitley, Martin John Callanan, Thomas Newton, Dawn Scarfe, Cary Peppermint/Wilderness Information Network, Duncan Speakman, Ella Kaisa Nordstromm, Alison Sharkey, Lu Clarke and Jaye Ho, Marek Brandt, John Wild. UPDATE#1: 1st Dec. 2006 Video Previews "Vacant Space" and the associated exhibitions opened at SHP last week. We spoke to artists, Janek Schaefer and John Stokes to create 2 short preview videos for Sound:Space. Videos are in QuickTime (mov)and Windows Media (wmv) formats.
